June is Black Music History Month! Celebrate with us and special guest Joel Keller on Thursday, June 5 at 7pm! Black Music History Month honors the immense cultural impact of Black musicians who have shaped the foundation of American music across jazz, blues, R&B, hip-hop, and countless other genres. Artists like Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, and Jimmy Hendrix represent a lineage of innovation that has consistently redefined musical possibilities while reflecting the Black experience in America. Joel will cover the history of Black artists from the early 20th century to current day, including a variety of music samples.
