Program Description

Event Details

Join us at 7pm on Thursday, June 13 to learn about what lurks beneath the surface of our Great Lakes with Georgann and Mike Wachter, authors of "Erie Wrecks & Lights," "Erie Wrecks East," and "Erie Wrecks West."

While legions of scuba divers explore wrecks from schooners to ore boats, there are many other reasons to dive the inland seas. In addition to shipwrecks, an array of planes, train cars, autos, snowmobiles, weapons and even a couple submarines rest on the bottom of the Great Lakes. Mike & Georgann will tell some amazing stories of items found on the bottom-lands and present photos and video of this vast, underwater treasure trove.

Copies of the Wachters books will be available for purchase for $20 each at the program. Cash, check, and Paypal accepted.

Registration is suggested for this program and those who register with an email address will receive a reminder in advance of the program. Register below or call the library at 440-988-4230.
